Contrary to popular belief,

we are indeed alive. After 12 hours, several poopy diapers, 10 times watching Baby Einstein, 3 stops for gas, a couple bathroom breaks, a family of buzzards on the side of the road, and passing a caravan of rednecks, we have made it to the great Northern US.
All in all it was an uneventful trip up here. However, it has been anything but uneventful since then.
Our first stop, was my sister's house. Here is where I was sold into slave labor. I spent a few days, painting her living room, sewing drapery, ripping up and learning how to put down peel and stick tile (much more complicated in an older home where everything is NOT square), chasing around an almost 2 year old and of course entertaining my very own bundle of joy!
Thing 1 (aka nephew number 1), was off at his local learning institution and didn't appreciate pictures or I would show you one right now. Have I mentioned to you all how amazingly smart he is? Though he is in kindergarten, he is reading on a 2nd grade level!! Thing 1 and I were sitting watching some cartoons before dinner one day and he blurts out something that he read going across the screen. He didn't sound it out or anything. (And to tell you the truth I think Frankenstein was one of the words that he read.) I looked at him and said, "Did you just read that?" He looked at me and said, "Yep" I was amazed. Such a smart kid. Sometimes too smart for his own good, but smart nonetheless.
Thing 2 (aka nephew number 2) seen here:

and here:

has turned into quite the little cuddle bug! He loves to hug his "mimi" (that's me incase you were wondering), follow around his big brother, give his younger cousin toys, entertain the masses, and play baseball. And much to my delight, he doesn't mind one bit that I follow him around with the camera!

This summer is going to continue to be a lot of fun with three boys under my feet!

Stay tuned for more pictures and trip stories! I have more. . . lots more.
